Weight Watchers is advertising a new year - a new you. Well I'm not too sure about a new me but after gaining about 45 pounds in pregnancy, I could really get with a slimmer me. I love pregnancy and and child birth but when it's over, I kind of want to look normal I pressure myself to get the weight off. It's uncomfortable for me, and it's more cost effective than buying new clothes to fit an expanded figure.
So I'm three weeks postpartum and loving every minute of my new little one, watching her do new things and grow chunkier. I absolutely love it! However, at the same time, just because I have nine children doesn't mean I have to look like it. (I say that after having just indulged in a gooey, chocolatey brownie made by my expert brownie making ten year old.) Because I'm so eager to drop the pregnancy weight and, further, get down beyond my pre pregnancy weight, I'm going to start with an accountability journey right here on the blog.
I'm not quite ready (physically) to do any sense of working out but I can start eating better and the doc released me to do some light walking. So I'm going to start my weight loss journey tomorrow (post brownies).
Here are a few of my weight loss goals:
Three Weeks
1. To follow a lower fat eating plan and consistently take my supplements.
2.To get down to my pre pregnancy weight by the time I'm six weeks postpartum.
Two Months
1. To continue my eating plan and supplements.
2.To increase activity.
3. To go down one full dress size below my pre-pregnancy dress size.
Four Months
1. To continue my eating plan and supplements.
2. To maintain a routine workout schedule.
3. To go down a full two dress sizes below my pre-pregnancy size.
This is likely going to be a challenging goal but I'm praying that with nursing the baby I'll get an extra boost. At any rate, I'm looking forward to being a comfortable size so that I can keep up with all these children!
